Debating Team

It helps young people greatly in later life if they can learn to speak in public when they are young. The Gordon Schools therefore encourages pupils to take part in debating competitions. A team of senior pupils recently took part in the annual Law Society of Scotland annual Donald Dewar Debating Tournament.  This is a very demanding event but the team  overcame their nerves and faced up to the challenge.

Pupil

Dancing

Pupils from The Gordon Schools show a wide and impressive range of talents. For example one pupil recently won the Jack Muir Memorial Trophy for being Scottish Juvenile Highland Dancing 'Champion of Champions'.  This was a terrific honour which of course did not come easily.  As any dancer knows, such success can only come from countless of hours of practice and hard work added to natural talent.
