Lisa
was one of only 26 students across Scotland selected
for the Scottish Space School 2006 visit to NASA
headquarters in the USA. During the trip she worked
with NASA astronauts and scientists and visited
laboratories and the space shuttle. The Space School
aims to excite young Scots about the career options
in science, engineering and technology. |

Pupils from Monifieth High show a wide range of
talents. Some excel at sport, some are talented
musicians and others show a gift for
art. Adam achieved his ambition to study art
when he attended by Duncan of Jordanstone College
in Dundee. There he developed his
wonderful talent for painting. Some of his past
works have dealt with important issues such as

Jacqueline
Telford
Engineer |

Jacqueline followed in her mother's footsteps by
becoming an engineer. She completed a B Eng (Hons)
in electronic engineering at Dundee University.
During her course, Jacqueline decided she was
heading down the wrong path and so switched
from mechanical to electronic engineering.
After graduating she started work with IBM in
England.

Over
the years, Monifieth High has had many pupils who
showed great talent in computing studies and
information technology. Kerry is certainly
one of them. In fact, she scored highest marks
in Scotland for the Advanced Higher Computing exam
and was then picked to represent Scotland in the
final of the 'A' Star Awards - the competition to
find the UK's best female computing students. |

Tricia
Stewart

Tricia
is a highly talented young actress who already in
her short career has played a wide variety of roles
on stage. She is happy in straight roles, comedy and
pantomime. She is also an excellent singer and has
starred in some demanding roles in stage musicals.
Tricia has already shown she has the talent and,
crucially, is prepared to put in the hard work
required to build a long career in acting. (more)
