In the
modern world of work, IT skills are very important
so schools do their best to prepare pupils for this.
Webster's High is doing a good job judging by the
success of former pupil, Morag. Her command of
the subject is so good she was chosen to represent
Scotland in the final of the 'A' Star Awards - a
competition to find the UK's best female computing
students.

John
Hamilton
Law |
|
A good
number of Webster's High pupils have followed a
career in the law. John is a good example. He
studied law at university before joining a law firm
to complete his training. He has since gained
experience of many
aspects of the Scottish legal system. John now
puts this knowledge to good use as Senior Partner in
the law firm, MacLean and Lawson, Solicitors.

Anne is now one of the 646 Members of Parliament (MPs) in the UK. She therefore
sits in the House of Commons and has a say in the
laws which affect the whole country. Anne is a

Sarah
decided on a career in the police when she was in
her final year at school. She has never regretted it. Her work is varied and
she enjoys helping the public in many ways. Sarah
also likes being part of a hard-working team who
help each other. She believes it is very
important to uphold the law and finds it is very
interesting to deal with those people who break it.
