William Kerr Fraser left school in 1946 to go to
Glasgow University. This was the beginning of
a long relationship as he eventually took over as
Principal and then Chancellor of the University.
Along the way, he also became the head of the Civil

Played Joseph in the
school Christmas concert before going on to join one
of the world's top rock bands, Thin Lizzy, at
the age of 18. A hugely talented musician who
spent eight years learning classical piano as a
youngster, before switching to guitar. |

Kelly
MacDonald

enjoyed great success as a film actor in recent
years. Kelly's breakthrough came in the hugely
successful Scottish film
Trainspotting. She has since appeared in
other major hits such as Elizabeth, Gosford
Park and as Peter Pan in Finding Neverland.

Crawford

Kirsty
gained a lot of fans when she sang on TV's Pop
Idol in 2003. She is also very bright having
gained enough qualifications to gain a place at
medical school. Kirsty first sang in Eastwood
High's talent contest aged 13, and came 3rd!
However, she left the school when her family moved
to England.

enjoyed learning French at school but little did he
know it would change his life. He became a reporter
with the Paisley Daily Express before moving
to work abroad. In 1999, he was made
Editor-in-Chief of the Agence France Presse
news agency in Paris, heading up a team of 3,000
journalists around the world. |

Nicola
is a senior Designer with GAP, one of the
world's best-known clothing companies. After
Eastwood High, she studied for a degree in
'Printed and Knitted Textiles'. Qualifications such
as this from British colleges are highly regarded in
the USA - one of the main reasons Nicola is now
working in New York! |
