Sergio is a successful screenwriter. He worked for
the BBC as a reporter before he decided to try
writing plays and film scripts. He has now written a
number of films and in 2004, he won a BAFTA
for the Best Screenplay with his film American
Cousins which is set in Glasgow. |

Travis who over the past few years have become
one of the most successful bands in the world.
Douglas knows that their success has a little to do
with luck, but a lot more to do hard work and regular
practice long before Travis became famous. |

music industry, he launched the Beanscene
chain of coffee shops which use music to attract and

with another former Woodfarm student, Amanda
McKinnon, in the mid 90s. They have since become
one of Britain's most enduring bands. Bis
have seen many highs and lows but have continued to
produce innovative music to delight their many loyal
fans. |

is one of the best volleyball players Britain
has produced ... and he has more than 100
international caps for Scotland to prove it. He has
captained the UK as well as the Scottish team and
has enjoyed a lot of success with his club Su
Ragazzi. Iain first played volleyball while at
Woodfarm. |

Lesley
is a top volleyball player who on leaving Woodfarm
benefited from the University of Glasgow Sports
Bursary Programme. This helped her continue
with her studies as well as make the grade in
volleyball. She has played for Scotland and is
now based at a top club in Germany. |

Jennifer

Jennifer
was one of only 25 students across Scotland selected
for the Scottish Space School 2006 visit to NASA
headquarters in the USA. During the trip she worked
with NASA astronauts and scientists and visited
laboratories and the space shuttle. The Space School
aims to excite young Scots about the career options
in science, engineering and technology. |
