Anton
Colella
Education |
|
St
Margaret Mary's Secondary has had many excellent
teachers over the years. Many former pupils will
remember Mr Colella'
who was Depute Head Teacher at the school before
moving to the Scottish Qualifications Authority
(SQA).
In 2003, he took on one of the toughest jobs in
education when he was appointed Chief Executive of
the SQA. This is a high pressure job so Anton finds it very helpful to relax by walking,
reading and playing guitar. |

Education |
|
Schools put in a lot of effort to help pupils get
the most out of their education. A lot of this
work goes on quietly without any fuss.
However, occasionally schools are given special
recognition for their efforts in the form of an
award. This happened in 2006 when St Margaret
Mary's won a One Scotland - Anti-Sectarianism
Award for its work in tackling religious divides
in the local community. |
