Craig
is one of Glasgow's greatest achievers. After
Eastbank he studied at the Royal Academy of Music.
He has gone on to a remarkable career, writing opera
on one hand and working with top bands such as U2 on
the other. Craig also has an incredible record
for film scores having composed music for many
Hollywood blockbuster films and winning a BAFTA in
1998 for the score for Romeo & Juliet. |

Ian
Adam
Health |

Eastbank Academy has provided many talented people
for the health service. A good example is Ian Adam
who now works as a Senior Orthotics Technician at
Yorkhill Children's Hospital in Glasgow.
People who work in Orthotics help patients who have
weak joints or muscles, by designing supports for
their body. Over the years Ian has helped a
great many people with his knowledge and experience. |

Terry
Lanagan
Education |

Eastbank Academy has been lucky to have many great
teachers over the years. Some have gone on to top
posts elsewhere. Many former pupils will remember
Mr Lanagan who was an Assistant Head and English
Teacher at the school. He went on to become Head
Teacher at Vale of Leven Academy and is now leading
a team which will invest £100 million in building
new schools in West Dunbartonshire. |

Willie
Miller

Willie
was a pupil at John Street Secondary which later
became part of Eastbank Academy. He went on to
become one of Scotland's greatest ever footballers.
Willie captained Scotland as well as Alex Ferguson's
great Aberdeen side which dominated Rangers and
Celtic and also defeated Real Madrid to win the
European Cup Winners Cup! |

Ian
Jackson
Health |

Ian is
one of the world's top plastic surgeons. He shot to
fame when a TV programme was made when he rebuilt
the face of a young South American boy called David
who suffered from a terrible disease. Ian and his
wife, Marjorie (also a former pupil) cared so deeply
for David that they adopted him. |

Adam
McNaughton
Music |

Adam,
who was a pupil at John Street Secondary is a famous
folk-singer. One of his album's describes him as a
"56 year old, Queens Park-supporting, ex-English
teacher." Adam has written some great songs such as
The Jeely Piece Song which people of Glasgow
and indeed throughout Scotland identify with. (more). |
