Fran
Healy

Music

Fran is famous all over the world as the lead singer of Travis. Much of his success is due to hard work. In the early days, he spent many days rehearsing alone until the others arrived to rehearse all evening!  Fran's talent and dedication helped him reach and stay at the top. Recently, he took Travis along to play a surprise gig at a Holyrood assembly!

Helena
Kennedy

Law

One of Britain's top lawyers and a Member of the House of Lords. Helena knows education can  change people's lives and is grateful to Holyrood High for the part it played in her development.  Has often used her skills in the courts to help people in a weak position.  Also does a lot to help others benefit from education.

Willie
Haughey

Business

Business is vital to Scotland because it creates wealth and jobs. Over the past 20 years, Willie and his team have built City Refrigeration Holdings into one of Britain's most successful companies, providing a wide range of services. Along the way, Willie has been proud to create thousands of jobs for people in Glasgow and many other parts of Britain.

Lee
McConnell

Sport

A remarkable athlete. Lee first represented Scotland in the high jump and broke the Scottish record.  She then switched to the 400m and went on to even greater success. She has already won a bronze European medal and a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games.

Peter
Mallan

Music

'Mr Mallan' is fondly remembered by many pupils from his spell as Head of Music at the school. He is a very talented singer and has appeared on TV and in many venues over the years, including Carnegie Hall, New York!  Peter is now a producer / presenter with Radio Clyde.

Steven

Star
Pupil

Steven has always loved reading and like millions of other youngsters around the world has been enthralled by the Harry Potter series. His own writing skills are also impressive. This much was clear from his review of The Order of The Phoenix which was published in the Sunday Mail.
