Archie has enjoyed a long and successful career as a top coach in the world of professional football.  His many clubs include Aberdeen, Rangers, Everton and Manchester United where he worked as the right-hand man to Sir Alex Ferguson. With his vast knowledge and experience, the SFA recently appointed Archie as the National Coach for Scotland's Youth Teams. (more)

Janet is a talented lawyer who graduated from Edinburgh University and went on to work as an in-house lawyer with Aberdeen City Council. She is now Head of BII Scotland, the professional body for the licensed trade.  Janet is also a senior member of the Law Society of Scotland and Chair of the Scottish In-house Lawyers Group.  Away from work, she enjoys poetry and walking.

For many years, Ken has occupied key posts in the world of golf which is not only a popular sport, but also a multi-million pound international business. He recently took over as President of the Golf Foundation, the national charity which works to introduce young people to golf.  Before this, Ken was the Executive Director of the European Tour, a job which is one of the most important in professional golf.

Science

David was one of only 25 students across Scotland selected for the Scottish Space School visit to NASA headquarters in the USA in September 2004. During the trip he and his fellow students worked with NASA astronauts and scientists and visited laboratories as well as the space shuttle. The Space School aims to excite young Scots about the career options in science, engineering and technology.

Basketball Team

Auchterarder High has enjoyed the success of many of its sports teams over the years.  A recent example is the under 15 Boys Basketball Team which won the 2006 Scottish Schools National Cup Final held at the famous Meadowbank Sports Centre in Edinburgh.  The team showed great courage and skill when it defeated Queen Anne High of Dunfermline by a single point in a tense and highly exciting game.

Hospitality

Former Head Boy James is making his mark in Scotland's hospitality sector. Following his BA degree in Hotel Services Management at Napier University, James joined the staff of the world-famous Balmoral Hotel in Edinburgh. He has since won a number of awards including the UK Wine Waiter of the Year and recently won a scholarship to a top Hotel Management Summer School in Switzerland! (more)
