Crieff
High hit the news in 2005 when the school produced
an anthem for the G8 Summit of World Leaders at
Gleneagles Hotel. The school choir spent a day in
the studio recording the song Build A Bridge
which was written by Principal Teacher of Music,
David Griffiths. The song carries a message of
hope for the developing world. Following the
G8 summit, the choir sang at the Scottish
Parliament. (more) |

The
staff at Crieff High are proud of many pupils who
over the years have represented the school at a high
level in a wide variety of sports and activities.
Colin is a good example. He was one of only six
pupils in Scotland chosen for the Chess Scotland
Youth Team which took part in a number of
competitions. One of the most memorable was a trip
to the House of Commons when Colin helped the team
easily defeat six MPs! (more)

Music |

Many
young people dream of playing in a rock band, but
very few ever do anything about it. However, three
Crieff High pupils Jake McGarry, Ewan Simpson and
Andy Donaldson took a major step towards their
fulfilling their ambitions when, having formed a
band called Kuji Wuji, they released their first CD
while they were still all under 16! Better
still, the recording received a rave review in the
national press. (more)
