Kimberley

Boyle

Music

Kimberley is a wonderful musician who received flute lessons at Crieff High from woodwind teacher Eileen Waterston. She went on to study at the RSAMD and did so well she won a place at the Royal College of Music in London.  Kimberly graduated from the college with a 1st Class Honours Degree and is now earning an excellent reputation both from her solo recitals and as a member of Perth Symphony Orchestra. Rev. James

Stalker

b.1846 d.1929
Born in Crieff, James Stalker became not only one Scotland's leading clergymen, but also more widely known in America than any other Scottish preacher of his day.  His sermons had a great impact and drew large crowds. James was also a brilliant academic.  He was a university professor for more than 20 years and wrote many influential texts on the life of Christ. (more)

Choir

Crieff High hit the news in 2005 when the school produced an anthem for the G8 Summit of World Leaders at Gleneagles Hotel. The school choir spent a day in the studio recording the song Build A Bridge which was written by Principal Teacher of Music, David Griffiths.  The song carries a message of hope for the developing world.  Following the G8 summit, the choir sang at the Scottish Parliament. Music

Music is an important subject at Crieff High and the school has produced many talented musicians over the years. Douglas is certainly one of them. Having completed his training he decided to try life in a different country and has gone on to play trumpet with the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra. As a member of the orchestra he has played in many countries including one concert back in Perth! (more)

Colin

Chess

The staff at Crieff High are proud of many pupils who over the years have represented the school at a high level in a wide variety of sports and activities. Colin is a good example. He was one of only six pupils in Scotland chosen for the Chess Scotland Youth Team which took part in a number of competitions. One of the most memorable was a trip to the House of Commons when Colin helped the team easily defeat six MPs! (more)

Kuji

Music

Many young people dream of playing in a rock band, but very few ever do anything about it. However, three Crieff High pupils Jake McGarry, Ewan Simpson and Andy Donaldson took a major step towards their fulfilling their ambitions when, having formed a band called Kuji Wuji, they released their first CD while they were still all under 16!  Better still, the recording received a rave review in the national press.
