Ann is one of Scotland's most successful business
leaders. She trained as a nurse before setting
up the Stagecoach bus company with her
brother. This grew into one of the most
successful transport operators in Europe. Ann now
spends much of her time and money working on a wide
variety of charity projects which help people in
many different countries. |

Bruce
is one
of Scotland's 129 Members of the Scottish Parliament
(MSPs). He therefore has a say in the laws which affect the
whole country. He is a member of the SNP and a List MSP representing the
Mid Scotland and Fife region at
Holyrood. Before he was elected as an MSP, Bruce was
a local councillor and was proud to serve as the
Leader of Perth & Kinross Council from 1996-99. (more)

Louise
realised a childhood dream when she gained a place
on a nursing course. She is now in the third year of her
training and has passed all her assessments so far.
Louise is looking forward to working in Accident &
Emergency (A&E) as she will discover whether TV's
Casualty is accurate! She eventually hopes
to become a hospital ward sister.

Andrew
studied Law at Edinburgh University before training
as a solicitor in London with one of the UK's
largest law firms. He returned to Edinburgh where he
became involved in court work. He also began
lecturing to law students not only in Scotland, but
also in France! In 1996 Andrew became an
Advocate. He speaks fluent French and
continues to have strong links with the legal
community in France. |

David
attended both Kinross High and Perth High before
deciding to become an accountant. His career
has developed mainly in the public sector where he
worked firstly for Perth & Kinross Council and then
Tayside Regional Council. In 1995, David took
on the key post of Director of Finance for Dundee
City Council. Away from work, he enjoys the
theatre, playing golf and supporting Dundee United.

It's
fair to say Eric packs a lot into life. He is
the MP for Falkirk which is a very busy job. After
school he joined the army as a private in the Black
Watch. He went on to be an officer and served with
the army in the UK, Northern Ireland and Germany.
Eric then worked for the Commission for Racial
Equality. He has also written political pamphlets,
studied at three universities, is a former Scottish
Judo champion and is the father of twin girls! (more)
