Melanie
Byrne
Animation |
|
After school Melanie studied for a BDes in Animation
and Electronic Media. She then began her
professional life as a full-time artist, exhibiting
in galleries around the UK. In recent years she has
made the transition from painting back to animation
and visual effects production. Based in London, she
now works as an Animation Producer on projects such
as Rome, Blackbeard, Ten
Commandments, Red Road and Harry Potter5. (more) |

Gillespie

Those who reach the top in the world of
international hairdressing certainly have to be very
talented and hard working. John is a celebrity
hairdresser who has an excellent reputation. Indeed,
as one national newspaper in India put it recently,
"For someone who has styled the hair of Kylie Kylie
Minogue, Christina Aguilera and Robbie Williams for
the MTV Europe Awards, Gillespie has no airs about

Andy

Andy is one of Scotland's best-known actors having
appeared in both comic and straight roles in many
popular TV shows such as City Lights,
Naked Video, Taggart and 2,000 Acres
of Skye. He is also at home in front of a
theatre audience and is much loved by many Scots for
his regular appearances in pantomime. Andy is also
a successful comedy writer. |

Peter

|
Peter is a vastly experienced curler who started
playing at the age of 14. He has won three Scottish
Championships, two European Championships, and
played a major part in Scotland's 1999 World
Championship victory. He was also a member of the
2002 UK Olympic team. Peter is also a successful
curling coach, passing on his skills and knowledge
to teams at both Senior and Junior European level.

Pauline

Pauline is a business graduate of Stirling
University who has used her expertise in business
and finance as a broadcaster for
the BBC. She can often be heard on Radio Five Live
shows such as Simon Mayo. On one occasion,
Pauline was reporting on the BBC's World Service.
However, after running between studios she was so
out of breath, she could broadcast nothing but
deathly silence to the entire world! (more)

Andrew
Gallagher |

Education |
|
Many former pupils have gone on to enjoy careers in
the world of education. Andrew was a primary teacher
in Dundee for 13 years before taking up a post as
Project Leader of 'Moving Image Education' which
uses the moving image to enhance children's
education. Angus was previously an ICT
staff tutor. He also created materials for the first
Discovery International Film Festival for Children
and Young People.
