Royal Bank of Scotland

Sir Fred Goodwin is Group Chief Executive of the Royal 1)_____  of Scotland Group plc.  He was previously CEO of Clydesdale Bank PLC and also CEO of Yorkshire Bank PLC.  Before this, he was a Partner in the major accountancy firm Touche Ross.

From 1985 to 1987 Fred led a team working on major changes at Rosyth Royal Dockyard.  In 1990, he was appointed by HM Government to act as an executive director of the largest industrial employer in Northern
2)________ , Short Brothers PLC, in the lead up to its privatisation.

Sir Fred's previous experience has extended across a broad range of industry sectors, but has included a particular bias towards banking and
